World premieres, celebrated artists, and a return of audience favorites are all part of the upcoming 2026-27 season with LED.

BOISE, Idaho (July 30, 2026) -- LED's 2026-27 season at The Dixon will feature original productions, internationally acclaimed guest artists, live music, and multidisciplinary performances that continue the company's mission of creating art that moves.

As LED begins its second season in its permanent home, Artistic Director Lauren Edson and Creative Director Andrew Stensaas have assembled a year centered on original storytelling, visionary collaborations, and unforgettable live experiences.

"As we imagined our second year in our remarkable home, we kept returning to the artists and stories that move us most -- the work we feel called to create and the inspiring artists who continually challenge and expand our perspective," Edson said. "The result is a season of bold new creations, visionary collaborations, phenomenal artists, and live performances that invite audiences into unforgettable experiences."

Tickets are now on sale for the first three productions of the season, with additional programming to be announced in the coming months.

The season opens in October with the world premiere of "Grace," a new original production by Edson and Stensaas. Combining breathtaking contemporary dance with an original live score, "Grace" is set in the world of professional wrestling, where strength, spectacle, and vulnerability collide. Through cinematic storytelling and striking physicality, the work explores resilience, redemption, and the quiet grace that can emerge through struggle.

In November, LED welcomes acclaimed singer, songwriter, saxophonist, and guitarist Curtis Stigers for an intimate concert at The Dixon. Drawing from his 15 records, along with rare selections and songs being performed publicly for the first time, the performance offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience one of Idaho's most celebrated musicians in an up-close, personal setting.

The holiday season marks the return of "The Rat King," LED's wildly inventive reimagining of "The Nutcracker." Following seven sold-out performances during its debut season, the production returns with its signature blend of theatrical spectacle, daring choreography, and mischievous humor. Described by audiences as "mind-blowing" and "brilliant," "The Rat King" has quickly become a new holiday tradition.

The spring season continues with internationally renowned choreographer Robyn Mineko Williams and her company, RMW & Artists. A former Hubbard Street Dance Chicago dancer, Williams is recognized internationally for creating deeply human, visually stunning works that linger long after the performance ends.

LED will also unveil a brand-new original creation in March, with additional details to be announced later this year.

The season concludes with the return of Moves + Movies, LED's festival celebrating the intersection of dance on camera and live performance. Featuring innovative contemporary works, beloved classics, and unforgettable performances on stage, the festival offers audiences a vibrant celebration of movement in all its forms.

The 2026-27 season reflects LED's continued commitment to producing original multidisciplinary work while bringing extraordinary artists to Idaho. As The Dixon enters its second year, the venue continues to grow as a home for innovative performance, creative collaboration, and meaningful artistic exchange.
